Life is full of moving parts—family, ministry, career, relationships, health, and the list goes on. As a woman of faith, I’ve learned that I can’t balance it all in my own strength. It’s only by the grace of God, through His hand on my life, and my willingness to follow Him, that I’m able to manage the many roles He has called me to walk in.
I am a mother, wife, pastor, Glam-Ma, entrepreneur, corporate professional, mentor, and speaker. People often ask me, “How do you balance it all?”
My answer is simple: I stay connected to God. I look to the hills from where my help comes because my help comes from the Lord (Psalm 121:1–2).
My journey has been one of discipline, surrender, obedience, and grace. I’ve served in ministry for over 30 years—first as a Deaconess Board President, Sunday School teacher for the youth, praise dancer, vision caster, and worship leader. Ministry is my heart, and I always strive to operate with a spirit of excellence.
In May 2016, I answered the call to ministry and received my license to preach. In July 2024, I was ordained and appointed as a pastor. But even before titles, I was always serving, leading, and showing up. My life is a testimony of what it means to be used by God, even in the background.
I met the love of my life at North Carolina A&T State University. We bonded through music and purpose, and married at just 22 years old. Together, we’ve built a life of ministry, love, and legacy. We’ve been married for 31 years, and we’ve been blessed with two beautiful daughters, one amazing son-in-love, and two precious grandsons who call me “Glam-Ma.”
Two of my greatest passions include empowering women and equipping couples. I’ve hosted and participated in various women retreats and conferences. My husband and I have taught marriage classes, hosted retreats, and mentored other couples over the years. We believe that strong families build strong communities, and strong communities build strong churches.
In June 2014, we founded God’s Glory Deliverance Ministry, where I currently serve as Pastor alongside my husband. The mission of our church is to be God-Driven, Kingdom-Focused, Love-Centered. Ministry for us doesn’t stop at the pulpit—we believe in reaching people where they are. We’re committed to equipping and empowering believers to walk in purpose, on purpose.
Even with my work in corporate America—where I’ve served faithfully for 21 years—I still make it a priority to honor my first ministry: my family. I am intentional about date nights, family vacations, girls’ days with my daughters, and special moments with my grandsons. Life is short, and love is sacred.
Balancing life doesn’t mean everything is perfect. It means being prayerful, present, and purposeful in all I do. It means seeking God first, staying rooted in His Word, and trusting Him with the outcome.
My encouragement to anyone trying to balance it all is this: you don’t have to do it alone. Invite God into your schedule, your decisions, and your desires. He knows the way—even when we feel lost in the whirlwind of responsibility.
Let your light shine—not for your glory, but for His.
