There are moments in ministry that no one sees.
The late-night hospital visits. The quiet prayers whispered over pews long after everyone has gone home. The funerals. The food bank drop-offs. The Sunday messages poured over with trembling hands and tired eyes. The conflict navigated, the burdens carried, the faith sustained — not just for self, but for others.
At YukanFaith, we’ve always believed those moments matter. That’s why, from the beginning, we dedicated a special space in our magazine to celebrate clergy who lead with heart and humility. For years, we called it Pastor Spotlight — a place to feature faithful leaders walking out their divine assignment with diligence and grace.
But something in us began to stir.
Not because the stories weren’t powerful. Not because pastors aren’t worthy of recognition — they absolutely are. But because the call of God is wide and often heard in places outside of pulpits. And because more than ever, we need to lift up the real voices of those who are still showing up, still serving, and still standing in integrity when so many others are not.
So we’re making a shift.
From this issue forward, Pastor Spotlight becomes Voices of the Calling — a heartfelt space honoring clergy who lead with courage, compassion, and conviction. In every edition, we will share personal insights, lessons, and wisdom from pastors and ministry leaders who are walking boldly in their calling — whether they’re leading churches, building ministries, planting in rural villages, or serving behind the scenes.
Because real ministry isn’t about titles.
It’s about obedience.
A New Name, A Bigger Table
That’s what Voices of the Calling is about.
A bigger table. A wider welcome.
It’s for the senior pastor who’s been serving 40 years without fanfare.
It’s for the associate minister who preaches once a quarter but shows up every Sunday.
It’s for the prison chaplain, the street evangelist, the worship leader, the marketplace minister — all those who carry the call with courage.
This is not about a spotlight. It’s about a mirror.
A way to reflect back to God’s servants just how much their obedience matters.
So whether you are a pastor yourself or you know someone quietly carrying the weight of ministry with grace, we want to hear from you.
Who’s your Voice of the Calling?
Is It You?
So let us ask you:
Could you be one of those voices?
Or do you know someone who is?
Maybe it’s your youth pastor.
Maybe it’s your mentor.
Maybe it’s you.
If so, we want to invite you — or them — to be part of Voices of the Calling. Share your story with us, or nominate someone you admire. We’ll take care of the rest.
This is a call to honor those still holding the line. Still shepherding the flock. Still saying yes, even when it costs.
Real voices. Real faith. Real impact.

Let’s honor the faithful.
Let’s tell their stories.
Let’s remind the world that there are still
leaders worth following — because they are still following Jesus.
Welcome to Voices of the Calling.
We can’t wait to hear yours.
