“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10
Dear YuKanFaith Family,
Sometimes life makes us question if we are truly ready, qualified, or equipped. But the Word reminds us that before we were even born, God had already prepared our assignments. You are not an accident. Your story, your scars, your skills, all of it has been woven together for a Kingdom purpose.
That is why our theme this month, “Anointed for the Assignment,” is so timely. August is a season of fresh beginnings: schools reopen, ministries relaunch, and we recalibrate our lives. It is a perfect moment to realign with God’s calling and walk boldly in it, with clarity, fire, and faith.
Inside this issue, you’ll find stories of believers who said yes to God’s call, even when it stretched them. Pastor Pierce A. Williams reminds us that real strength comes from Christ, not credentials. Dr. Onedia Gage shows us that writing your testimony can be the lifeline someone else needs. Dr. DeYonne Parker teaches that courage is moving forward even when fear remains. Pamela Bowen reveals how God transforms wounds into weapons of healing. Pastor Rico Sharp’s life proves that God can redeem even the darkest valleys. And Dr. Tim Blake reminds us that daily surrender is the steady anchor of unshakable faith.
Their stories are living proof that God equips those He calls. And He has equipped you. So don’t wait for the perfect moment or the perfect version of yourself. Your “yes” is enough.
This month, my prayer is that you lean into your God-given assignment with boldness and expectancy. Heaven has already approved you. Now is the time to walk it out.
With love and encouragement,
Thando
