Editor’s Note

Welcome to the January issue of YuKanFaith Magazine, and what an inspiring issue it is! As we step into 2025, I’m reminded of the profound promise in Isaiah 43:19: “See, I am doing a new thing!” This verse served as the foundation for this month’s theme, “New Year, New Me,” and it beautifully weaves through the stories of transformation and change shared by our contributors.

Each story in this issue reflects the power of God’s transformative work in the lives of His people. From career shifts to personal reinvention, the individuals featured here have allowed their faith to guide them through seasons of uncertainty, growth, and renewal. What struck me most was how each person came to learn something new about God—whether it was His faithfulness in the wilderness, His provision in times of need, or His strength in the face of fear.

For instance, Sanelisiwe Jobodwana’s testimony highlights how surrendering to God’s call led her to rediscover purpose in her artistry, teaching her to rely on divine inspiration rather than her own strength. Similarly, Rev. Jacqueline Peart’s story showcases her unshakable faith as she continues to empower others, even in seasons of personal loss. These stories—and so many others—are powerful reminders that God uses seasons of change to unlock new levels of faith and reveal deeper aspects of His character.

As we navigate the fresh opportunities and challenges of 2025, my prayer is that each of us will experience our own “new thing” with God. May He unlock new levels of faith, give us the courage to embrace transformation, and fill us with His peace as we step boldly into the future He has prepared for us.

I encourage you to reflect on these stories and consider your own journey. How might God be inviting you into a season of renewal? As you read through this issue, may you feel inspired, encouraged, and ready to trust God with every step ahead.
Here’s to a year of transformation and abundant faith!

With blessings,
Thando
